Effectiveness of dynamic neuromuscular stabilisation for improving trunk control in hemiplegic stroke: A scoping mini review

چکیده

Stroke is one of the leading causes mortality and morbidity in adult population, resulting significant cognitive sensorimotor impairments affecting one-half body most patients. The limitations that are attributed to trunk impairment affect postural respiratory functions due either spasticity or weakness muscles, including diaphragm. Physiotherapy effective interdisciplinary stroke management, with approaches utilising principles plasticity. This review focused on briefing pathomechanical aspects hemiplegic stroke. proposed mechanisms Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) as a treatment for were analysed, existing research evidence efficacy DNS improving control among participants was critically reviewed. findings substantiate need high-quality trials, emphasising study design, subset size, reflective outcomes, regulated follow-ups.
